I am in the first of my second 4 year term as a Foundation Governor, representing the Parish of Cowley. I live in Church Cowley and worship at St James Church, Beauchamp Lane. My career has been in primary education, including headship at Chalgrove, but latterly coordinating the Headington Schools Partnership and also working with the Isis Partnership schools on arts projects - particularly Cowley Road Carnival and the Light Night lantern procession. As a member of the Curriculum committee and a new task group looking at the faith aspects of school life, I am committed to contributing to the ongoing development of St Francis school, for the sake of the pupils, families, staff and community.

I joined St Francis as a Foundation Governor in 2017 and became chair of the Resources Committee 2018. I worship at St James Church, Beauchamp Lane and live in Oxford with my husband.  We have two grown-up daughters and a grandson. I worked for Oxfordshire County Council as a post -16 education tutor for over 25 years and had great pleasure in working with students who achieve the necessary skills to either gain employment or move into higher education.  To be part of St Francis school is very exciting as I believe that every child should be given the opportunity to receive a good education.
